Last harvest/New season

I can’t remember the last time I ate fresh veggies in December,  but this year was special.  Beside the traditional (and delicious) dishes of squash, storage carrots and potatoes was a massive bowl full of perfect little baby lettuces and specialty greens we picked the day before. That’s right, Christmas Eve harvest – in a T-shirt!

Our new balmy Quebec climate is going to take some getting used to, but it’s very hard to complain about climate change when it’s 23C on Christmas Eve.

And now, less than two months later, the seed and potting soil orders have been placed, and we’ll be planting the first seedlings indoors in just a few weeks (in our new seedling greenhouse, stay-tuned for details)… Who said farmers have the winter off?

The 2016 season details will be posted very soon, stay tuned!12390840_1703262526565135_1628766986914152101_n1924021_1703262533231801_3924080731472490136_n
